BOARD MEETING, APRIL 18, 2024

ELECTION OF OFFICERS:  
Chairperson –     Andrew will stay on as Chair
Secretary -        Terri will stay on as Secretary
Treasurer-         Dave Lansing will replace Fred Smith as Treasurer
Hall Rentals -        Doug Neill will stay on as Rental Coordinator
Maintenance -    Leonard Van Der Merwe will take over maintenance

Grass cutting;  Poppy and Maddox are both interested in mowing the lawn.  They will talk and let us know what they decide.  

NEW BUSINESS

Garage Sale:  Haven’t heard back about the suggestion we coordinate with the Lumby community garage sale.  We could have our own.

Burger Night:  Prices will stay the same, $10 for burger and beer.  We could vary the menu a bit, definitely need more salads and fried onions.  2nd bar-b-que would ease the rush.  Andrew will look into a 2nd bar-b-que.  

Fire Hall:  A brief discussion on volunteer fire department.  Seems to be cost prohibitive and the population not quite dense enough to be practical.  

Community Forest:  Justin brought up the idea of applying for a community forest.  The income from Cherryville’s community forest has enabled that community to begin the process of a volunteer fire department.
